Yas Island Circuit is approximately 35 minutes drive from the hotel. The 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race takes place over 56 laps on a 5.6 kilometre track incorporating high speed straights, tight turns and sections through the streets and the marina. Entertainment for spectators is second to none with bands, dancers and a variety of acts held on stages located around the track. There are plenty of food outlets serving both local and western dishes.
Main Grandstand
Situated on the Main Straight, the Main Grandstand looks across to the Pit Building where you can witness the action in the garages, pit stops and the start/finish of the race.
North Grandstand
This U-shaped stand will create an arena feel around the tightest hairpin on the circuit. The cars approach through a chicane offering an overtaking opportunity. Once through the hairpin enthusiasts here can witness one of the cars accelerating along the long straight up to speeds in excess of 300km per hour.
South Grandstand
Fans will see the cars power down from into a series of complicated turns around the Marina. This action will take place against the backdrop of the Yas Marina Hotel and the Marina.
Support Pit Building Grandstand
Fans here will enjoy similar views of the hotel and marina with great viewing and the chance to watch the other racing categories working out of the team garages below
West Grandstand
Fans in this grandstand will have a spectacular view as the cars speed toward them down the circuit’s longest straight at more than 300km/h. This grandstand also has a unique run off area that disappears under the grandstand.
